![]() Dendrites Growing along the banks of Hanauma Bay, these trees are so dense that their foliage blocks all but a few shafts of light from reaching their own lower branches. Like dendrites in nerve cells the branches form an intricate woven pattern. Searching for the light, holding the upper-most leaves aloft, the lower branches have their own underworld to be photographed. | |
