 The Diamond Head Crater Walk This collage of two photos shows the interior of the crater tunnel at Diamond Head and the top of the stairway leading down from the crater. There are 99 steps to climb or descend (depending upon the direction you are walking) with a tunnel that is probably about 30 - 50 yards long.
