![]() Barred Reflections This corridor is part of a government building in downtown Honolulu. The architecture of the building is quite attractive and the grounds are well kept. The actual color of the building is somewhere between beige and light tan (not gray as shown here). One sign of the times is the metal security grate over the window. In this image I kept the window and its reflections in color, but post-processed the rest of the shot in black and white using PS, by adjusting the red, green and blue layer levels individually and then desaturating all but the window and flattening the image. The effect is to manipulate the gray scale to my liking while preserving the colored window and its reflections as the focal point.
