![]() Nature's Sculpture Today I backpacked along a trail leading from the Pali Lookout in the Ko'olau Mountains to a valley where a seasonal waterfall can sometimes be found. Part of the hike is along an old, closed road and part involves climbing rocks along a shallow stream bed. Unfortunately, the waterfall was no more than a trickle today (another hiker told me it has been that way for the past two months), but I managed to take enough pictures along the way to post all week long. This photo is part of the trunk and roots of a banyan tree growing alongside and over an old stone wall. The form is a natural sculpture with abstract lines, shapes and volume. Filtered sunlight illuminates nature's artwork. ISO 100, 1 second, f/29, 28mm of 18-55mm | |
