Ho'omaluhia Botanical Garden I

Over the holiday weekend I again visited the Ho'omaluhia Botanical Garden in Kaneohe. The garden nestles up against the Ko'olau Mountains and contains a road that winds through many acres of tropical plants and flowers. I will be posting a series of photos I took over the weekend. To those who don't particularly enjoy flower photos, you might want to check back in a few days. To everyone else, enjoy.

This first photo is of flowers that were covering the branches a tree. There was no placard posted so I am sorry to say that I have no idea of the tree's name. The color and shape of the flower captured my interest. The flowers grew in clusters that are similar in shape to grapes. This photo is a detail from one of the clusters hanging from the tree.
