 Deadwood: Fighting a Losing Battle Together This image is a detail shot from another photo I took while descending Diamond Head. The larger branch has been supported by the smaller one for a long time, but neither of them has good wood left. It seems heroic for the small branch to support the larger deadwood at its peril, evident by the split of its own branch and the damage to the bark.
