Shallows Fishing

At the east edge of the beach in Kailua people gather to fish nearly every weekend. Some of them stand on rocks along the shore, some use boats to fish, and others stand on shore and cast their lines into the surf. This phot captures one man who stood alone on the beach for at least a half hour repeatedly casting his line into the water. I never saw him catch anything.
