![]() Surf Rider I made this photo Sunday afternoon, one of many surfing pictures I took during a one-hour visit to Magic Island in Honolulu. Waves were cresting perhaps six to eight feet high and twenty or thirty surfers were enjoying the water. This image looks like it has been post-processed alot. However, very little was done to it. The texture of the image comes from the fact that I selected only a small portion of a larger photo and blew it up when cropping for this surfer who had crested the white water as a sailboat was passing. I left all the noise in the photo because the finished image looks like an painting on canvas to me, but no filters were used in this shot. ISO 400, 1/1250s, f/5.6, 300mm of 70-300mm | |
