 Orchids Hawaii is filled with beautiful flowers, perhaps none more impressive than the many variety of orchids found throughout the islands. Today's post is a detail from a bed of orchids at one of the local hotels. This image was made the day of the earthquake. It was a cloudy morning and the bed of orchids was in an isolated corner of a garden. The dark shadows and background created an opportunity to capture a rather unique tone.
