![]() Porcelain and Lace Continuing with the theme of muted colors or black and white is this still life I made in my home. I used a white cardboard background and placed the hat and swan inside a glass-front hutch (with the doors open). The hutch light was the primary light for the photo, and I washed the subjects with a hand-held flashlight to even out some of the shadows. Unfortunately I had some computer problems and had to dump a couple of days of work before I got the original photos backed up, so I don't have the EXIF data for this image. I recall the shutter speed was somewhere near 1.5 seconds and the ISO was either 100 or 200. But that's about all I can recall. Fortunately, I had already saved the photos I wanted so I only lost the original data. Oh well...it could have been worse. Perhaps I should change my procedures to save originals first, then play with the images. | |
