![]() Spent Petal The idea behind the making of this image was to explore the relationship between abstract aspects of a photo and realism to see how I might merge them in a single photo. I placed a flower petal that had dropped from a flower arrangement in my home (realism) on a mottled ceramic surface and positioned them so light hit them from the side to display reflections (abstract) and create interesting shadows and shapes. I'm not sure I have achieved the effect I am looking for, but it seems to me that there may be some possibilities in this idea. ISO 100, 3.2s, f/36.0, e.c. -2, 46mm of 18-55mm | |
