 As the World Whizzes By The road next to the Ala Wai Canal ends at a bridge crossing the canal, making the local neighborhood a nice place to walk and enjoy the waterway. Overhead and beyond it traffic whizzes by day and night as city dwellers go about their lives. This image captures the difference in the two streets as a couple of people stroll along the canal lined with parked cars and little else, oblivious to the tail lights of vehicles passing over the bridge.
