plant

Natural Radiance

This photograph is a composite of two images processed from the same original photo - one sepia toned and the other in color, with blending set to emphasize the red fringe of the leaves and the sepia tones. If I had it to do over again I would use a smaller aperature and slow down the speed of the shutter. There was no need to shoot this plant wide open. I was simply experimenting with the new lens which opens to f/1.4. The depth of field would have been helped immeasurably with a smaller aperature.

ISO 100, 1/1600, f/1.4, e.c. -2, 50mm
